Creating the Bioname company brand and updating the website

What were the goals of the employment?

During the employment, the goal was to update the company's image and create its own brand for the company. This meant making a marketing plan (and the accompanying mapping) and creating graphic guidelines, according to the company's already existing color and logo attributes, but also correcting them. During the employment relationship, the possibility of updating these elements related to the logo was also explored, but in the end the old logo and color were kept. In addition, during my employment I created different material for the company's use, from visual to text.

How I executed my work: More detailed description of the work and opening of the content

During the employment, I did various research and analysis work related to the creation of the marketing plan. This also included SEO analysis. In addition, I did visual design while creating various materials for the company's use, but I also produced written content for the company, both in terms of the marketing plan, graphic guide and also for the website, for example by writing the brand story and editing metadata. In addition, during my employment, I used several Adobe  programs (Animate, XD, Illustrator, InDesign).

Creating graphic guidelines was not the most important priority for the company during my employment, because only one person makes the decisions regarding the appearance of the company, but with the creation of the guidelines, the company got a file that brings all the information related to the colors, font and style of the logo in one place. In addition, with the graphic guidelines, the company got more precise definitions of how the logo should be used consistently and in what form. In addition, when the company expands or later updates their image, the graphic instructions created for the company can serve as a good starting point and a package from where to start.

Creating the look included not only the business card, but also making a couple of gif animations, and when planning these, material to be used as images was also created. Also, while thinking about and coming up with ideas for updating the logo, material and graphic elements were created that the company can use elsewhere in marketing and communication. These materials were, for example, different versions of the DNA thread and islands describing services.

During the employment, the hexagon design was also used, for example, in the Rollup banner and on the website. In addition to this, at the end of the employment, I created several powerpoint themes for the company, which the company can start using in its communications (this also includes hexagons).

Concept design

During my studies, I had time to design various concepts and participated in a few design competitions. Entis design competition has taken place outside of my studies.
